When we started looking for photographers we were quickly overwhelmed by the ample variety of styles, but we soon saw that Chris' work stood above the rest, with very creative scenarios, artistic lighting setup, affordable prices and very high recommendations. Chris was very understanding when we had to change our date due to the pandemic and we're very thankful for that. We had a long consultation with him, in which we stated the kind of shots that we were expecting and we received plenty of unique and creative ideas from Chris on how to capture our day in the best way. Since we got married in Lumley castle we wanted to emphasize the castle and it's architecture and incorporate these details into the composition of the pictures. We got plenty of majestic pictures what balanced well the antique features with ourselves. Chris brought plenty of state-of-the-art photography and light equipment to bring this vision to life. The photos look candid, organic and natural and perfectly captured the happiness of the day and the sense of celebration amongst our guests. We are eternally grateful for his great dedication and incredible artistic eye. These pictures will decorate our home for the years to come and bring a smile every time we see them. We would thoroughly recommend Chris to any couple looking for an outstanding professional photographer.

We just received our wedding photos and WOW, we are absolutely over the moon, love them!
Before we even received our photos we knew they would be amazing!
From the moment we met Chris we knew we were in good hands. We were due to be married 2020 but had to move it to 2021 due to covid, Chris kept in touch and was always there to answers any questions we had. Chris is just so easy to talk to and very professional and my wedding guests loved Chris, most specially my queen selfie cousin and my son was loving posing for the camera too 
we had our pre wedding shoot a few month before the wedding and the weather was hitty missy hours before but finally got out nice and the photos for that too were just amazing, we have a little boy and can never get the three of us in fully unless it’s selfies of just our heads when we’re out and about so this was just perfect and just felt like we were having a nice family stroll while catching moments we would never think of catching.
We would most certainly without a doubt recommend Chris to anyone for any type of photo shoot and we will definitely be recommending to any of our family weddings in the future.

Chris was the first photographer we spoke to at a wedding fare, we went on to speak to many more, but nobody impressed us more than Chris. He certainly didn’t disappoint and we are so glad we chose him.

We are delighted with how our photos turned out. Chris was so professional throughout and made sure we got all the photos we wanted. He also pulled out all the stops to get one of our favourite picture framed and delivered well in time for Christmas.

What can I say? What a guy! Me and my husband Alex were absolutely delighted with Chris, our photos and the overall experience. 

Chris took so much care with us from the very beginning, and we were treated warmly, with respect and like we really mattered to him. He listened to all our requests and managed to meet every single one! 

We had a pre-wedding photo shoot with Chris, and we genuinely loved it, both the experience and the photos we received afterwards. We aren’t the kind of people who love to get their photos taken, but Chris put us at ease, and we felt like we were hanging out with a close friend. We had a good laugh and giggle too which definitely helped us relax and enjoy the experience more. 

Chris phoned us several times before the big day and also took his time to come to the rehearsal. This was above and beyond for us! On the big day Chris was ready to go and arrived at the perfect time to get pictures in my house before we left for the church.  Which were amazing by the way!

Chris took some incredible photos throughout the day. He blended in well with all the guests which I thought was excellent. He was not in your face and although he was fun and managed to get all the photos we requested, which included a lot of different groups of people, he certainly was not intrusive and did not get in the way. In fact, I would say he added to the day and guests.

Alex and I were delighted that Chris gave us a very quick message after the wedding to say that our photos got back safely and sent us a few sneak peek photos. We were so over the moon and this extra touch made our evening 1 million times better.

Chris is just an all-round photographer and person. He is just a very genuine, lovely, trustworthy guy. He went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful for all Chris has done for us!  Thanks Chris

I don't even know where to begin!

just wow!

Chris was absolutely perfect from the very first meeting, right through the pre shoot, throughout the entire wedding and now we cant wait for the rock the frock shoot.

Chris's style is just amazing....very relaxed, non invasive and there are no long stints of standing around posing spending lots of time away from guests. for most of the day we didn't even realise Chris was there taking photos, he didn't pull focus at all but captured more than we could ever have hoped for.

We couldn't be more happy with the final photos, they are just stunning. The only problem we have is trying to decide which ones we like best for the album!

Totally fantastic wedding photographer - thanks Chris! Where do I start... firstly I found Rennison-Rae on Instagram. Living overseas and not meeting him face to face before we agreed to book him for the wedding made me a little nervous, but those nerves dissappeared as soon as i contacted him. I'm so glad I chose him. Chris kept me updated on all his ideas prior to the wedding, listened to our ideas and was a pleasure to deal with. He made things so easy and effortless that when the wedding arrived, I knew he would deliver. I came across Chris by chance on instagram it was a picture of a little girl at a wedding looking back at the camera and you could see the bride and groom and the guests it was lovely the shot captured the moment .so I started to look through his pictures and fell in love with them the way he captured moments and memories in a picture his style of photography is so unique I knew I had to have him for our wedding. After a few messages to see if he was available on our day and thank goodness he was Chris came to ours to talk about our wedding.as soon as he walked through the door he was very professional but was so lovely too like a close friend chatting away like we had known him for years I felt so at ease and I was happy for him to do what he wanted to do regarding photographs he had some great ideas.The day of the wedding he mingled in and I forgot that he was there to take photos as he just captured moments with out us even realising which was perfect as I hate posing for photos. After the wedding he sent us a few sneaky pics via email and Instagram and they were amazing so when he said he has our photos I needed them ASAP the suspense was killing me. The photographs exceeded mine and my husbands expectations they were amazing but some of them were just wow !!!! I loved all of them he captured some beautiful moments that I want to remember in photo form and some that I had know idea of like shots in mirrors that were just stunning that just make me smile every time I look at them.

We chose Chris as our wedding photographer September 2017 and I cannot speak highly enough of his work. He went above and beyond what you would expect in visiting a venue he had never photographed previously a number of times prior to the wedding to enable him to find the best spots for photos. We had asked that the photos be as casual as possible only wanting a small number of formal posed photos, having been to so many weddings in the past where the photos seem to dominate the day this was not what we wanted and Chris carried this request out perfectly. The photos that we have received were beyond anything we could have hoped for and Chris has managed to capture the best moments of the days as well as the worst (the bridesmaids attempting to carry the groom and not quite managing it). On the wedding day Chris made everyone feel completely at ease and often you did not even notice he was there taking photos. Again I cannot recommend Chris enough and hope his business keep getting stronger and stronger.

We would highly recommend Rennison-rae photography for your wedding day as Chris captures the day perfectly. He works hard to get those 'wow' photos without people even realising they have been taken as he is always somewhere in the background snapping away. Guests commented on how great he came across without having to shout at people to 'stand here and stand there' which was exactly what we wanted from a photographer as we just wanted to enjoy our day. Chris listened to everything we wanted from the photos and the outcome was amazing. 10/10 service and memories for life!

We got the full wedding package from Chris, so we had three separate shoots. At all 3, Chris was easy to work with, professional and accommodating of our own wishes. We did the pre-wedding shoot at the beach, and this really helped us to feel at ease in front of the camera and to know what poses and angles we like the best. The photos during the ceremony are probably my favourite, really capturing the excitement and happiness that we were feeling. On the day I didn't want to spend very long taking photos of just the two of us and Chris was really great at capturing a few very special shots before we rushed off to the party (he also managed to capture the relaxed atmosphere and garden party style of the reception too)! And then for the Rock the Frock we wanted more shots of the two of us and Saltwell Park was the perfect location for this beautiful sunset shoot. Overall, I would definitely recommend Chris as a wedding photographer. We couldn't have imagined better photographs for capturing our big day, our personalities and our happiness (and he even accepted my request to climb a tree and play on the swings)! - Louise 

 

As the parents of the groom, we had no input at all in to the selection of the photographer for our only sons wedding. As it turned out, we could not possibly have been happier with the outcome. The service was fantastic, the photographs were stunning, and we hardly knew that Chris was there. Honestly, I cannot recommend Chris highly enough! He was fantastic from the day we first spoke up until the day we got our photos back. He understood our request for documentary style photos, dramatic shots and no cheese! With tons of planning and scoping out the venue in advance, he was unobtrusive, extremely professional, very accommodating of our chaotic family and ever-changing plans, and a real pleasure to work with. Chris was recommended to us from a previous client and we couldn't have been happier. We were able to get a shoot organised and booked within a couple of days and he even suggested a wonderful location at Plessey woods which we would never have known to use. “We decided on a seafront family photo shoot in November and Chris didn’t flinch at the prospect of bad light or weather he simply did his research in the weekends beforehand to understand the best timings and locations for the shoot.Chris was then faced with a shy toddler who didn’t want to do anything to facilitate the shoot; he remained patient throughout and got some great shots of her playing in the park while she came round.  Chris even had an ingenious solution for a muddy swing seat!

 

 We gave Chris a remit of catching a family day out rather than a staged shoot and the results speak for themselves.  We’ll definitely be getting Chris to do another family shoot.” Joanne L

 

 

Having never had a family photo session I didn't know what to expect but Chris quickly put us all at ease.   He brought balls for my two young sons to play (and pose!) with and a rug for us all to lie on. Things I would never have thought of. 

 

He had adaptable to our demands ....and the changing weather.....easily and quickly changing his equipment from outdoors to in. Most importantly the boys loved him and responded well to his directions. He was enthusiastic and patient.....even when my eldest kicked a football at his camera.
